blueprint

This is the original blueprint from which my concept is based. On my current website I have 2 main divisions, namely photography and web design. This has been bothering me through a longer period of time, and whilst keeping the two apart is easier in a design context, it does not encourage updating, as well as it might be the cause of some confusion for visitors.

Therefore the idea is to have the blog function as the outlet for all my creations, a stream of photographs, web designs, wallpapers, and hopefully movies too. Therefore the blog needs to have a simple indexing function that will make browsing seamless, but it will also need a versatile design that will “adapt” to the content displayed and support the presentation rather than being the presentation.

My plan is to condense the above mentioned into the structure shown above. This consists of 3 main menu points; Home, About, and Contact – these will be visible on all pages. Equally there will be included to sub menu points in the footer of each page; ITU and Changelog – these will give the user easy access to posts tagged with ITU (thus having a relation to my school work), and the changelog which will be updated frequently as changes are made in regards to the site structure, concept, or design.

Additionally on the homepage there will be a more traditional sub menu functioning as a filter of the “news stream”. This will allow the user to solely view posts from each of the four following categories: Photography, Webdesign, ITU, and based on meta data (such as oldest / newest, which is the default).

The About page will very simply contain information about me, and possibly links to affiliations or other interesting projects I might have stumbled upon.

Correspondingly the contact page will contain a simple contact form, and a bit of additional contact information.
